Proper rifle cleaning requires a strong, one piece rod. The Dewey Coated Spring Steel Rifle Cleaning Rod is a real workhorse. The handle floats on high quality bearings and the rod has been built using rugged materials. The use of spring steel means that this rod is more resistant to permanently bending like some lesser rods and the coating is designed not to scratch your barrel. This rod will work on calibres .270 through .340 and is perfectly fitted for .308.
The Dewey Rifle Cleaning Rod uses an American Style male 12/28 thread but comes included with an adapter so that male threaded brushes can be used as well. Also included is a pointed brass jag, compatible with pre-cut square or round patches.
At 44″ in length, this rod will clean most rifle barrels. You can clean a short barrel with a long rod, but not vice versa. A great one piece cleaning rod at this price point.
