Redding Competition Bushing Neck Die 308 Winchester 56155

The Redding Competition Bushing Neck Die was designed to address the needs of the precision shooter using neck sizing in their reloading process.  In operation it is similar to the  Redding Competition Bullet Seater 308 Winchester 55155 in that there is a spring loaded sleeve that slides over the cartridge case and holds it tightly during the neck sizing operation.   This design feature along with a de-capping pin that acts as a guide, allows the bushing to self centre on the case neck.  Redding assumes that perfectly prepared brass is being used at this stage and thus do not include a sizing button the the de-capping pin.

In addition to the design features mentioned above, the die is capped with a micrometer adjustable cap, which allows the user to quickly and accurately set the depth of the neck area to be sized.

The Redding 56115 die is for the 308 Winchester Cartridge.  A simpler bushing die without the spring loaded mechanism and micrometer is the Redding Type S Neck Sizing Die 308 Winchester 71155.
