Redding Stuck Case Removal Kit 22000

The Redding Stuck Case Removal Kit quickly dislodges most cases jammed in dies.  Don’t worry.  You are not the first person to get a case stuck in a sizing die.  This event has happened or will happen to all of us (more than once).  Usually the problem is due to lack of drying time given to case lube, both on the cases and inside the die.  It can often happen when case lubricant is switched to a different type or brand.

Essentially a three step process, case removal is quite straightforward with the Redding Stuck Case Removal Kit.  The first step is to find a way to hold the die firmly (vice, etc) and drill out the flash hole through the primer pocket.  The second step involves threading the new hole with the included tap.  This is best done with a Tap Wrench, but can be carefully done with an ordinary wrench.  The collar is them placed over the die and the included bolt is then threaded into the tapped hole in the case.  The pressure (very high) created is almost always enough to free the stuck case.

In most instances the die will be found undamaged and will live on to size another day.  Unfortunately the case is rendered useless, but at least you can begin loading again.  Just make sure to clean and lubricate the die then let it dry properly before proceeding.
